About Us - Our Story

It all started with a conversation in the late 1990s. A friend confessed she couldn't keep a knife block in her kitchen. Her fear wasn't about the blades themselves, but that they could be turned against her in a burglary. That comment never left me.

Growing up in East London, the threat of street violence was always there. Dashing through old 1960's built concrete block housing estates we always made sure we were alert when outside our own area. I lived beside a domestic violence shelter so often saw and heard the results there. 

Over the years, i always wondered why no one had come up with a better solution, each time there was news of another murder caused by a stabbing, or news of a domestic violence murder using a kitchen knife my mind would wonder why are companies not doing anything.

Now, with a teenage son, i was even more worried about knife crime. The statistics on knife crime were no longer headlines, they were a threat to my family. I decided that if no one else was going to offer a solution then i should.

I embarked on a mission: to design the world's safest kitchen knives without compromising on professional quality. We collaborated directly with professional chefs, testing a vast array of blade types and handle designs. Our goal was non-negotiable—create a knife that performs flawlessly in a busy kitchen while fundamentally addressing the safety risks of a traditional blade.

Today, we have that product. It’s more than just a knife; it’s the first step in a necessary revolution. We believe it's up to each of us to remove the dangers we unknowingly keep in our homes.
